HBO Max continues to tease the viewers who have been eagerly awaiting the premiere of a special episode of the cult 90s TV series Friends. With only several days left before we finally see the premiere, we got a fresh trailer the other day, and it’s fantastic!

Friends: The Reunion is a special episode that will bring together all those who have worked on the series that has become an integral part of the modern culture. Contrary to the fans’ expectations, this will not be a continuation of the story that ended 16 years ago. Instead, the six main actors — Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry, will share their memories of working on the sitcom, recall the casting days, and reenact their favorite iconic scenes, like that part of the script for “The One with the Jellyfish,” or the quiz when Chandler and Joey won Monica and Rachel’s apartment.

Also, this special episode will feature many famous guest stars, like David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Reese Witherspoon, and many others.

The cast admitted that they were happy to be back on set together and noted that they were surprised by the eerily familiar locations they had not visited in 16 long years, including Joey and Chandler’s bachelor apartment, Monica and Rachel’s apartment, and even the orange sofa from the Central Perk.

Matt LeBlanc said it was kinda funny when they all got together, and the time just flew by. The actors just picked up where they left off all those years ago. There was no script, and the actors ended up having the fun of their lives in the studio together for hours and days. These six are definitely like a family. A very cool family.

The new episode will mark the first on-screen reunion of all the leading actors in Friends, but in 2016, the showrunners already attempted to please the fans with a special surprise, but back then, they managed to get only five of six actors on the set. Matthew Perry flatly refused to shoot, explaining that he is trying in every possible way to move away from the image of Chandler Bing. What changed?

The premiere of the special episode was supposed to take place back in May 2020, but the filming was suspended due to the bloody pandemic. The next premiere date was planned for the fall, but even then, it was impossible to complete the production. As a result, “Friends: The Reunion” will be released on HBO Max streaming service on May 27, and we can’t wait to see our beloved characters one last time!
