Whenever celebrities upload photos on Instagram or Twitter, their fans go completely nuts. Most are happy to see their idols doing well and are excited to leave supportive comments. However, some people get a kick out of going through those photos with a fine-tooth comb, hoping to find evidence of them being altered and therefore fake!
1. Kate Middleton’s Family Photo
The latest victim of such “detectives” was Kate Middleton’s Twitter post celebrating Mother’s Day. The 42-year-old Princess of Wales can be seen embracing her three lovely kids: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. But keen-eyed users noticed that the little Princess’s arm sleeve looked rather strange. The seemingly harmless picture caused a whole lot of uproar in just a couple of days. It is still unknown how or why the image was manipulated, but to be on the safe side, many internet outlets have removed the photo from their news articles.
2. Kendall Jenner’s Mask and Sign
In 2020, many stars like Michael B. Jordan, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, and others showed their support for the “Black Lives Matter” movement during a march protest. Then someone decided to upload a pic of Kendall Jenner holding up a “BLACK LIVES MATTER” sign. But fans quickly deduced that the shadow behind the model was missing, which, of course, meant that it was all a lie. In fact, the altered photo was taken somewhere else entirely.
3. Kim Kardashian’s Double Thumb Debacle
The famous family held their annual Christmas holiday party, featuring treats, questionable fashion ideas, and a photoshoot with a classic Photoshop fail in it. In one of the photos from the event, Kim K appears to be holding her hands together, trying to get her purse back from her daughter, North West. But if you look a bit closer, you’ll see one too many thumbs in that snap. It screams AI shenanigans, and we all know Kim is notorious for sloppy editing.
4. Selena Gomez and Her Curvy Door Frame
This Photoshop fail comes from one of the most popular celebrity makeup artists, Hung Vanngo, who loves sharing his work with everyone. This one time, he worked on Selena Gomez’s photo, but something went wrong. Fans immediately noticed that A) SelGo’s incredibly gorgeous-looking, and B) the door frame behind her seemed to be photoshopped. Was this just a harmless mishap, or was Vanngo trying to hide something?
5. Chloe Kardashian’s Uncanny Transformation
Here, Kim’s sister is caught doing something unnecessary yet understandable from the PR point of view. The glamorous picture on the left is a shot from Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality show, and the one on the right, where Khloe looks drastically different but still wearing the same cute outfit, is the real deal. It’s not that she looks hideous without the filters and retouching, but it very much looks like false advertising.
6. Kim Kardashian’s Weirdly Slim Neck
The star posted a photo from the pool on her social media, but fans caught on to her Photoshop shenanigans right away. They noticed that the neck looks longer and slimmer in the photo than in the video. Someone even made a TikTok video showing the difference for those who did not want to accept the truth. Apparently, Kim K is well-known for enhancing her traps.
