Top 9 Best Lonely Island Songs

You probably already know, but in case you don’t, “The Lonely Island” is an American comedy trio, formed by Akiva Schaffer, Andy Samberg, and Jorma Taccone in Berkeley, California in 2001. Yeah, you read that right, “The Lonely Island” has been around for over 15 years, but they became moderately famous after their hit song “Lazy Sunday” in 2005. Currently they have millions of fans and released two shockingly successful albums, “Incredibad” and “Turtleneck & Chain”, and a whole bunch of other SNL shorts.

Let’s see what the top 9 best Lonely Island songs are!

“Cool Guys Don’t Look at Explosions”
This is a very complex song about life, and existence, and… naah, just kidding, it’s about cool guys not looking at explosions!

“Like a Boss”
Writing crap lyrics *LIKE A BOSS*
Making no sense *LIKE A BOSS*
Need more words here *LIKE A BOSS*
Yeah, that’s good enough! *LIKE A BOSS*

You get the idea why I love this song.

“I Just Had Sex”
So about this one… I may be wrong here, but I have a theory that this particular song is about a young man who … just had sex! Oh yeah! Good luck getting rid of this ear worm, hah!

“You only live once. Don’t let it go to waste.” Aah, truer words were never spoken. It’s important to understand what YOLO is really about, and apparently those who survived their YOLO adventures can see the big picture.

Guess what this one’s about just from the title. No-no, just try to guess! … Alright, now listen to the song!

“I’m on a Boat”
Can 44.7 million people be wrong about this song? I don’t think so! One of the funniest skits in their repertoire.

“Great Day”
This is what you get when you mix all the drugs with Adam Samberg’s genius. I should also add that drugs are bad. Stay away from them. (Just in case the kids are listening)

“Jizz in My Pants”
Not gonna say it’s THE biggest break-out hit of theirs, but those 160+ million views are freaking impressive!

Dick in a Box
And the first place goes to… “Dick in a box”! For sure, this might be The Lonely Island’s best work yet!
