Seems like the Internet is all about random challenges these days. And this recent fad is no exception. A lot of videos, showing people seemingly frozen in time, have literally been appearing everywhere – on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or whatever video sharing platform you’re using. That’s the so-called Mannequin Challenge, for those of you who didn’t put two and two together. It’s basically what it sounds like: people do a “freeze frame” in the middle of an action and the camera guy/girl films their poses. Nothing too complicated, right? But the people have been going bonkers trying to outdo one another! While some videos may look a bit creepy (it is the Internet after all), some are pretty funny, and then there these nine masterpieces. Just sit back and enjoy!
Who? – you may be asking, if you’ve been living under a rock your whole life. Destiny’s Child were the sh#t back in the day! Looks like they’re trying to stay relevant today as well, as they grace us with their artistic superpowers. While celebrating Kelly Rowland son’s second birthday, the women decided to take part in this Mannequin Challenge everyone’s been talking about. Gotta hand it to the ladies – they’ve nailed it to a tee!
Do you have any idea how hard it would be to do this challenge during a live rock concert? Well, Garth and his band have some idea, I bet! Loot at all of them freeze up when the time comes… Fantastic show!
Okay, maybe this one is not the most original or creative mannequin you’re gonna see on this list, but for Pete’s sake, this is THE Paul McCartney! And it’s a double whammy since the default song people use for this challenge is “Black Beatles” by Rae Sremmurd.

Cheerleaders make everything better, even crappy ad campaigns, am I right? So what’s a little challenge for them? I just wish we could see more videos like this one. I can only imagine what it must have felt like to be there in the stands for this performance… and ruin the immersion completely! Yeah, looking at you, random dudes walking around.

If you don’t know what this guy can do, just imagine something, anything – he can do it with just a few (hundred) clicks! ZachKing is… I mean was the star of Vine. Probaably the best thing that came out of that snake hole, if you ask me. And as you can see, he’s got no intention to stop doing what he’s good at any time soon.
Some people love him, some hate him, I can tolerate him at best. But let’s go with funny this time, because this video actually made me exhale a bit harder than usual, and it is pretty well-made, so props to him and all those peeps!
The Queen of Pop is… well, she’s doing her best to make a comeback. This has nothing to do with her singing career, of course, but look at all those sexy dancers doing deep squats, splits, and even one-legged stands! This video must have been a b#tch to shoot.
Ellen Degeneres And Warren Beatty
This one’s probably the second most diverse Mannequin Challenge on this list. You can see people eating bananas, Ellen playing ping pong (what sorcery is this?), and all sorts of mishaps about to happen. Either way, Ellen does her magic and she does it extremely well!
Entire freaking STADIUM!
Can you imagine how many people were like “dude, what’s this Man a Kin challenge?” right after they’ve announced it? 11,658 people managed to do the impossible at Perth Arena yesterday and actually (probably) beat everyone at this particular challenge. The next step would be a whole city stuck in time, but I don’t see it happening without the Brain Slugs from Futurama.
