Since tattoos are now part of our daily life and are no longer viewed as something that only criminals have, people are more likely to get them on very visible areas. Similar to face and neck tattoos, hand and ear tattoos are becoming popular in 2020 too. It seems like people are into the idea of tattoos as accessories. Instead of rings and piercings, they choose to have small tattoos on their fingers that might as well be rings, many celebs have done this by tattooing their wedding date on the ring finger instead of wearing a ring. And people like the idea of small and delicate ear tattoos instead of piercings too. It might seem painful, but they probably hear faster than an actual piercing.

2020 is all about experimentation and а unique combination of styles. You no longer have to pick one style of tattoos and stick to it. You can have greyscale tattoos and neo-traditional ones. But what’s even cooler you can merge styles. Graffiti and portrait in one tattoo? You got it. A fine line floral with elements of ornamental tattoos. Yup, that’s a thing now. Another trend that’s emerging in 2020 is having art tattooed on you. It can be a modern art piece or a replica of a classical painting. 7. Illustrative Realism
This style of tattoos is exceptionally popular right now. It’s a great way to recreate a photo, a painting or a scene from the movie but give it a fun little twist. Instead of realistic realism which just recreates the picture, this one makes it look more real but as if drawn with colored pencils or paint. It’s the new and improved technique that might’ve gotten its roots from watercolor tattoos, but chose to also take on the classic black lines as borders to hold the color in place.
8. Anime Tattoos
Anime tattoos are gaining popularity like never before as people are choosing t get tattoos of their favorite anime and manga characters. Most of us grew up on Sailor Moon and Pokemon so it’s not that surprising but it’s still nice to see this art form being transformed and merged with the art of tattooing.
