It’s almost the end of the year, so it’s the perfect time to make wild predictions about what 2019 will bring us. Why? Because we’ve been doing it for 2019 years and we sure as heck aren’t going to stop now!

If we’re going to make wild predictions, it only makes sense we do it about something people actually care about: famous people! Let’s take a look at some actors and actresses that may or may not become household names in 2019!

Betty Gilpin
Betty who now? She stars in GLOW, that amazing show on Netflix you should be watching right now instead of reading this article. Betty already has a few movies for 2019 lined up, and if any of them become a financial success you can expect to see a lot more of her!

Taron Egerton
Despite being only known for playing Eggsy in Kingsman, he’s now got a role lined up in the new Robin Hood and he gets to play Elton John in his biopic. Considering how they met on the set of Kingsman 2, this must be an amazing honor for him!

Wendi McLendon-Covey
All you’ll probably know about this woman is that she starred in Bridesmaids or Magic Mike, or What to Expect When You’re Expecting or The Single Moms Club. Oh, and in 2019 she’s starring in What Men Want.

Mena Massoud
While you probably haven’t heard of this guy until now, he’ll be playing Aladdin in the live action remake. And we all know playing a lead role in a Disney movie is a recipe for a good career.

Zazie Beetz
I know, it’s spelled “Beats”, but it is what it is. She’s mostly known for her role in Atlanta and being Domino in Deadpool 2, but she’s got a handful of movies lined up in 2019 so she’s sure to be noticed in at least one of them.

Naomi Ackie
She hasn’t really done much up until now. Her most known part is in Lady MacBeth but next year she’ll be starring in Star Wars: Episode IX. If that’s not a career maker, I don’t know what is.

Andrea Riseborough
She was in Birdman and Oblivion, so she’s worked with Michael Keaton and Tom Cruise. But 2019 will be her real introduction into the mainstream – she’ll be starring in the remake of The Grudge.

Naomi Scott
We have already mentioned the live-action remake of Aladdin, Naomi is playing Jasmine in that same movie. Her and Mena are in for quite a wild year.

Dove Cameron
While Dove might not be very know now, she has a lot of interesting stuff lined up for 2019: she will be reprising her role as Mal in The Descendants 3, she’ll voice a character in Angry Birds 2 and she’s going to record her own studio album.

Nasim Pedrad
Nasim has had some small roles in several TV sitcoms, but in 2019 she will also be starring in the much-anticipated remake of Aladdin. She’s sure to make an impact!

Alice Braga
You may not know her name, but you’ll probably recognize her face. Alice played in I Am Legend and Elysium, among other films, and she’ll be starring in the X-Men film The New Mutants.

Caleb Landry Jones
You might not know this guy, but he’s starred in three Oscar-nominated movies. In a single year, that is. He was in Get Out, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and The Florida Project. If 2019 doesn’t bring great things for this actor, I’m not sure who else would deserve it more.

Billy Eichner
You know Parks and Recreation – everyone does. Billy was the loveable newcomer Craig. And if you think that’s not impressive, he’s voicing Timon in the new remake of The Lion King. That’s more than you’ll ever do with your life.
