1. Melania Trump
Becoming the First Lady is a huge step for any woman. In case you didn’t know, there’s a theory that Melania felt weird as the First Lady and hired a body double to take her place. This theory got a lot of traction in May 2018, when Trump was recovering from surgery for a few weeks and accidentally misspelled Melania’s name as “Melanie” in one of his tweets. You can’t blame Mel for not wanting to be around that guy.
2. Britney Spears
There’s been a lot of weird rumors surrounding Britney Spears not acting like she used to. Back in 2016, hackers broke into Sony Music Entertainment’s Twitter account and posted, “RIP @britneyspears #RIPBritney 1981-2016.” But, of course, some people think this was all a clever setup, and that Britney actually croaked on Christmas Day. Internet detectives started digging into her social media posts and found evidence that her videos had computer, and even AI-generated parts. Someone also used AI software to process Britney’s low-quality wedding photos, only to discover a woman who didn’t look anything like the star.
3. Jamie Foxx
In April 2023, Foxx’s daughter Corinne announced that her dad had some health issues but refused to reveal what had happened. A couple of months later, Jaimie finally reappeared and posted a video on his Instagram. Upon noticing Foxx’s pale skin, fans immediately leapt to the theory that the actor had passed away and a clone had taken his place.
4. Beyoncé
So, apparently, there’s a wild theory suggesting that Beyoncé might not be the real Queen B. The theory claims that the original Beyoncé may have passed away back in 2000, and to keep milking her fans, the music industry bigwigs supposedly took some of her stem cells and used them to create a perfect clone.
5. Kanye West
In 2023, there was a conspiracy theory about Kanye West being replaced, especially after West openly supported Donald Trump for President in 2016. Nobody wanted to believe their idol actually praised the politician. But things really took off when he started dating Bianca Censori. During winter 2023, TikTok was blowing up with Kanye’s doppelganger theories. Lots of fans were saying he looked different from before. They said he seemed to gain a few inches, his face was slimmer, and he no longer had certain tattoos. Of course, Kanye’s rap about cloning didn’t help at the time.
6. Eminem
Everyone can agree that Eminem peaked around 2001-2003, and his more recent work is not that great, to put it lightly. But guess what? There’s a conspiracy theory that claims Marshal Mathers was subbed out by a clone after the original Eminem passed away in 2006. These nutjobs present various pieces of evidence, such as changes in his vocal style and, get this—dark hair color! That’s definitely a sign of something.
7. Miley Cyrus
Starting around 2013, Miley Cyrus completely changed her vibe. She got a lovely pixie haircut, started wearing revealing outfits, and did that one bizarre performance with Robin Thicke on national TV. During this tumultuous time, some fans started a rumor that Disney killed Miley because she was bad for their reputation and replaced her with a more wholesome version—a factory reset.
8. Avril Lavigne
Back in June 2002, Avril Lavigne dropped her album “Let Go,” which blew up big time with several hit singles and over 16 million copies sold. Now, here’s the wild part: some folks actually believe that this was Avril’s last album because she took her own life around that time. According to the conspiracy theory, she was replaced by someone named Melissa Vandella, who was trained to look and sing just like Avril in order to keep her success going. People even point out changes in Avril’s style and physical appearance, such as the disappearance of certain moles and blemishes. Very suspicious, isn’t it?
