Say hello to a new Instagram celebrity – a magnificent low content wolfdog Loki (mix of husky, malamute and some arctic wolf). He’s huge, he’s fluffy and he’s traveling the world with his faithful human companion-slash-owner Kelly Lund.
These two are inseparable in their journeys and always choose the most scenic route available. If you have a husky or a malamute at home, you may have noticed that they need a lot of open space to function properly and not be depressed most of the time. Kelly says it himself: “I believe dogs aren’t meant to live out their lives in a backyard or inside a house. I hate to see that. I hope we are inspiring people to get out, explore our world, and make memories with their pups.”
In fact many owners have no idea how to deal with wolfdogs, so they have to be either put down or go to a shelter (the dogs, not the owners, although that would work even better). It is heartbreaking to see the pups locked in tiny cages waiting for someone to pick them up. These giants require an extreme amount of socialisation and exercise which most people do not have time for. If you leave a wolfdog alone at home, you better have a good insurance that can cover all the damage.
And so, determined to give his gigantic puppy the exercise he deserves, Lund lets Loki roam free in the most incredibly-looking natural locations in Colorado: the woods, the steep rocks, cliffs and mountains and jaw-dropping waterfalls. After creating the Instagram profile for Loki over 370,000 users joined their travels. To follow Loki on Instagram
P.S. Remember, if you don’t have time to hang out with your dog, if you know nothing about training it and, most importantly, if you’re interested in bringing a wolfdog home just because it’s beautiful and fluffy and your friends will envy you – don’t f%$#ing do it!
