The future is about novelty and motion. To find an inspiration, we often try to discover new fairly different types of art in order to expand our minds and be ready for new ideas to come in.
“Deep Discovery” is the name of a new and the latest creative series of animated double-exposure photos. The project is found by Lucas Ighile and Ayla El-Moussa – two visual artists that have been sharing their works in the Internet since 2009.
The works contain a combination of static photos with animated ones embedded. Well, we can’t say it’s a true double-exposure made in a traditional way using film and film cameras. This whole style and techniques were popularized by visual effects in the title credits of HBO’s “True Detective”.
Still, these incredible works of art are not just some hypnotizing visuals, pleasing to the eye, the whole concept has its very deep meaning.
“Scientists and spiritual minds have told us for decades that the universe is within us,” – the artists write on their website. So the guys decided to explore the world we all know not much about – the ocean deeps. They embedded the pieces of the universe in static women’s portraits but leaving the flowing movements. Isn’t it captivating?
Lucas Ighile and Ayla El-Moussa are both very open-minded people, skilled in many different lines and not afraid to experiment with different types of art.
Their website 25thcentury.co is a pretty much serious project dedicated to many forms of human expression and the ways that connect humans with the Universe. You can find more info and enjoy various works on their website.
Also, check out the Instagram account of the project and don’t forget to follow if you enjoyed their works.
