Meet Fab Ciraolo, Chilean illustrator with a very interesting vision of the world who want to share it with you. In his works the guy reprises the most popular nostalgic elements like our favorite fairy tale characters, popular historical personalities, artists etc. incorporating them into marvelous motifs some surreal, sci-fi atmospheres.
Be prepared, because the guy is going to bring some really unexpected figures back from the past to present 21 century! You will want to believe these characters are true icons of present days and meet them in real life.
While transferring the illustrated characters to these days, Fab is trying to let them maintain their significant style evoking nostalgic feelings. This approach makes each of his artworks look interesting and the whole collection stand out from other artists’ creations.
Fabian was born in Chile, Santiago and has made illustrations for as long as he remembers. Seeing that working with illustrations made Fab happy, his parents supported and encouraged him to keep creating and developing his skills. They showed him that it was possible to make illustrating a complete way of life.
The guy uses different techniques while creating his artworks: acrylic painting, simple and color pencils, traditional painting and everything else that comes to mind throughout the creating process. Sometimes, Fab uses even coffee for some of his paintings! It creates really cool textures, he says.
His mixture of modern times and oldies is completed by unbelievable cosmic-colored shades and backgrounds. Fab is a visual person and it takes no time for him to make his head explode from tons of creative ideas which he puts together and brings to life later on.
When Fab created his very first works, it was hard for him to expose his creations to the public. But he was extremely surprised when people loved his art and inspired him to do more and more of it. Now the guy thinks art should be popular and should be expressed in as many ways as it can.
