A woman with children is on a mission to find a safe place, but the thing is, if you open your eyes, you’ll most likely die. But they got birds, who warn them of danger by screaming like crazy. Fun fact: Sandra Bullock said that during the filming, she really walked with her eyes closed!

This mystical thriller set in East Berlin of 1970s, tells about a girl who is trying to get into the world-famous dance academy. The music and the fantastical acting will immerse you into the mystery from the very beginning. What is really going on it that academy?
4. “Under The Silver Lake” – 2018
The main character is looking for all sorts of messages hidden in plain sight, he is literally obsessed with finding the clues. But the clues to what exactly? Fun fact: the main hero is a message himself because there are so many references to old films in this movie that it is impossible not to get at least some of them.
5. “Cam” – 2018
This movie touches on many current issues of the modern world. Some even call it a part of the Black Mirror series, and by watching it, you will understand why. The film tells the story of Alice, who makes money by chatting with thousands of people about, you know, adult stuff. She dreams of becoming the most popular web model, and when she almost succeeds, Alice’s access to the chat is blocked, and a copy of the girl appears in her place. Freaky!
6. “The House That Jack Built” – 2018
This masterpiece by Lars von Trier premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. Many could not stand it and left their seats, but those who remained until the end later gave the director a standing ovation. The premise of the movie is nothing new, but the execution is flawless. The film tells the story of Jack – a serial killer who has been improving his skills for 12 years. And so, in the mid-70s, he kills again and again, considering each murder a work of art.

A friend of a famous art critic finds a warehouse filled with incomprehensible paintings, and since then, her life turns upside-down. After the artist died, all his paintings were bought out by galleries from all over the world. It’s an incredible thriller with elements of mysticism and a stunning performance by Jake Gyllenhaal.

It’s the year 2052, Berlin. Leo Byler is a mute bar worker, who one day, his beloved wife leaves him. To find her, Leo seeks out two surgeons from America. But it turns out that he needs to stay as far away from them as possible. Lots of mysteries and great visuals!
9. “Fractured” – 2019
The latest gem on this list – Netflix’s Fractured. A family of three driving cross-country gets into an accident, where the daughter breaks her arm. They rush her to the nearest hospital. After some time, they finally get a doctor to see her, but the operation takes a while, and the parents fall asleep in the lobby. Upon waking up, no-one seems to remember Ray’s family or that they had a daughter. What’s going on here?
