You may love it, you may hate it, but you should at least know why people watch it. Is it like “Friends” or “Seinfeld”? Well, actually it is a sitcom, just like any other, with unrealistic situations, fake laugh track and a lot of funny nerdy moments, so yes, I definitely think it’s on par with “Friends”.
Some people call it dumb, because “the science doesn’t check out”, but, in all seriousness, if a show about a bunch of physics nerds make even 1% of the kids watching it like science more – it’s a freaking win for the humanity! I mean, sure, it’s not Breaking Bad (which I still haven’t seen) or Sherlock but it’s light-hearted, fun, and teaches about … uh, physics, I guess? And comic book stuff!
