Start-Up — Netflix

In this Netflix original film, Seo Dal-mi, played by Bae Suzy, is daydreaming of becoming the next person to take over the Silicon Valley of South Korea. This fictional place is called the Sandbox. She wants to become the next Steve Jobs, and she wants to do this by teaming up with her childhood lover Nam Do-san, who is played by Nam Joo-hyuk. She eventually finds out there may be a switcheroo in the letters that she’s been sending to the man she thought was her childhood sweetheart. 

Record of Youth — Netflix 

Sa Hye-jun is the main character of this drama, and is played by Park Bo-gum. Sa is a popular model that is beginning to have some trouble finding work. The other main character of the film is An Jeong-ha, who is played by Park So-dam. An is a fan who is hoping to become a make up artist, but her mother would like her to become an office worker. The film follows how the two of them traverse through life and deal with the trials of the lives they’ve chosen for themselves. 

Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol — Netflix

Goo Ra Ra, who is played by Go Ara, is the main character in this drama. She is a pianist who was once very rich. But her father goes bankrupt and then eventually passes away. Goo Ra Ra goes through a series of unfortunate events after this, including being left at the altar. She stumbles upon someone named “dodosolsollalasol” on social media, who has been helping her anonymously through her rough times. She eventually meets another friend at piano academy, Sunwoo Jun, who is played by Lee Jae-wook. 

When My Love Blooms

Han Jae-hyun ( played by Yoo Ji-tae) and Yoon Ji-soo ( played by Lee Bo-young) are both college sweethearts that began growing apart and ended up living very separate and different lives. He is a businessman on the move, and she is a mother and contract worker. After they were separated by their different paths for over 23 years, they finally reunite and see that their chemistry is still intact. 

Tale of the Nine-Tailed

Lee Yeon, played by Lee Dong-wonk, is a gumiho in this film. A gumiho is a nine-tailed fox, that has his life sacrificed as a mountain god to save the love of his life. He is now a human being, and must wait for her to reincarnate so he can save and protect her once again. 

Crash Landing on You

Yoon Se-ri, played by Son Ye-jin, is the main character in this film. She is the CEO of her own clothing brand and make up line, and is estranged from her family. She eventually shows her worth as a business owner and may be primed to take over the family business as opposed to her two older half brothers.
