45 Epic Behind The Scenes GIFs 》

I love watching big blockbuster movies, but sometimes I forget that these people are just actors, and, in many cases, all they have going for them is a green screen behind their backs. It hasn’t always been like that. Back in the day, before the Avatar became the highest grossing movie of all time thanks to its stunning CGI, actors and stuntmen used wires to fly, puppets and animatronics to make the scene look realistic, and, of course, they were wearing their costumes, and not a bunch of motion tracking balls.
Even though those times are gone now, and more and more directors resort to filming 80% of their scenes as CGI, there are still some movies that prefer doing it the hard way or simply use the special effects to enhance the live action scenes, instead of the other way around (looking at you, Transformers). Regardless of my stance on overusing the CGI, I still enjoy 99% of the modern movies, because I’m not a whiny little b!@tch.
