Everyone is talking about these British actors, and not just in Hollywood, but also on Twitter, Facebook, and all over the internet in general. For some reason we just can’t get enough of them. You can see these stunning British actors pretty much everywhere: winning Oscars, starring in epic film franchises like Star Wars, Avengers and Harry Potter, and of course, let’s not forget their modelling gigs for various companies!
This is just an extremely short list of my personal favorites, so don’t get your panties in a bunch if you don’t see someone you like. That said, let’s get this tea party started!
John Boyega
Say hi to the first Stromtrooper to hit the spot! Sure, some called him a “traitor”, but John was undeniably spectacular in the latest installment of the Star Wars saga. He’s been previously seen in “Attack The Block”, which was also pretty good, but we all know “Star Wars” brought some real attention to him. And it’s not surprising, seeing as this franchise kickstarted the careers of Harrison Ford, Mark Hammil and at least a dozen other great actors.
Benedict Cumberbatch
Beleron Scrumplenotch, aka Baragon Custardhatch, aka Benderdoll Cyberpatch, aka… I can do this all day! He’s the astonishing Sherlock Holmes, the fiery Smaug in “The Hobbit”, the devilish Khan in “Star Trek”, the mystifying Dr. Strange, and so much more. He also looks like an otter, so there’s that.
Daniel Radcliffe
The one and only – Harry Potter. Of course, after Potter’s adventures came to the end, Daniel starred in movies like “Horns” and “Woman in Black”, both of which are crazy good and you should watch them. Oh, yeah, almost forgot – he was incredible as Frodo Baggins!
Kit Harington
Kit may not be the biggest Hollywood star out there, but you have to admit his Jon Snow is no point, and that’s why we all love him so much, even though he doesn’t know it…Even though he knows nothing. I’ll see myself out.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson
Aaron Taylor-Johnson has already starred in badass movies like Godzilla, The Avengers and Kick-Ass, and there’s no stopping him now! Hopefully we’ll see his Quicksilver come back to life in Avengers: Infinity War.
Andrew Garfield
“Spider-man, Spider-man, does whatever…” they tell him to do. But I don’t care what the haters say about the Amazing Spider-Man movies, I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of them, except for that “cliffhanger” with Rhyno. Please, don’t do that again, Sony.
Henry Cavill
Who knew the “Man of Steel” himself was British? I surely didn’t, but now it all makes sense! Fun fact: he was Stephenie Meyer’s first choice for Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” films, until they deemed him to be too old. What a relief.
Nicholas Hoult
“What a day! What a lovely day!”
Just a few months ago this line from “Mad Max: Fury Road” became so popular everyone was quoting it, and it’s all thanks to Hoult’s crazy delivery. He’s also playing Beast in the new “X-Men”, and that one handsome zombie in “Warm Bodies”.
Tom Hardy
Speaking of “Mad Max” – Tom Hardy also happens to be British! Who would’ve thunk it? He’s played Bane in The Dark Knight as well, so you know women are all over this guy whenever he appears on public.
Tom Hiddleston
It’s only been 5 years since a small-time actor Tom Hiddleston turned from low-key to Loki – the Asgardian god of mischief – in basically one night. Since 2011 his career skyrocketed, which is only fair, as he’s an astonishing actor. We’ll see him in 2017’s “Thor: Ragnarok”, and until then go watch “Crimson Peak” and all of his Marvel movies. You know you want to!
So, which British actors would you add to the list? Martin Freeman? Ian McKellen? Patrick Stewart? Idris Elba? All of the above and a dozen more? Yeah, me too. Maybe we’ll do a part 2, or would you rather like to see a thing about British actresses? Leave a comment, we don’t bite.
