Top 8 Super Celebrities Holding World Records

What do you call the already famous celebs, who just keep writing their name into the annals of history, by breaking all sorts of Guinness world records? If this was the Dragonball universe, we’d call ’em Super Celebs (as in Super Saiyans). Yeah, I guess that does sound pretty badass.
Anyway, let’s take a look at 8 super celebs holding some impressive Guinness world records, some requiring immense skill, and some just great luck and right timing.

Eminem
Whether you like Eminem or not, you have to admit his rapping skills are second to none. Not only are his texts quite controversial at times, Marshal can shoot word bullets faster than anyone else in the world, and he holds an official Guinness World Record! In the video above – “Rap God” – Eminem flawlessly packed 1,560 words into the 6 minutes and 4 seconds. To put this into perspective, this here article is around 800 words. He even manages to blast an average of 6 words per second, and still make it sound coherent somehow. Using his own lyrics: “why be a king, when you can be a god?”

The Rock
Probably one of the craziest records on this list belongs to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He’s a really upstanding dude, most definitely a wet dream of countless girls and boys, so, naturally, he’s got millions of fans, myself included. Maybe taking 105 selfies with fans in 3 minutes doesn’t look impressive to you, but who else could pull it off? If my math is correct, that’s ~0.6 selfies/second!

Vin Diesel
Vin Diesel’s record is more on the awkward side of the spectrum. He holds a world record for the most liked Facebook picture ever. The awkward part is that the post that went viral was of him and Paul Walker at the time of Walker’s tragic death in November of 2013. Make what you want of this one, but as of December 2016 it received 7.9 million likes and was shared nearly 500,000 times.

Ellen DeGeneres
Similar to Vin Diesel’s record, Ellen’s is also internet-related. During the 86th Annual Academy Awards ceremony, Ellen DeGeneres made a truly incredible “selfie”, which included Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey, and other stars – all of whom shared that her tweet, and so did their followers, and the followers of those followers, and so on, making it the most retweeted post ever. In just an hour it was retweeted over a million times! Since then the counter went past 3M as of 2017.

Jennifer Lawrence
Would you believe that her performance as Katniss Everdeen in the insanely popular “Hunger Games” movie adaptation, was named the highest-grossing action heroine in history by the Guinness World Records committee. At the time the first 2 parts had already earned 1.52 billion dollars worldwide and has grossed around $3 billion since then, which means Lawrence’s record won’t be beat for a while.

Harrison Ford
The record for Highest Grossing Actor in the US was held by the Samuel L. Jackson for, I want to say, decades (?), but now the new sheriff’s in town! As of 2016, since the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” the title belongs to Harrison Ford. In all of his 50-year career Ford’s films have grossed over 4.7 billion dollars in the US. He’s safe for now, but just because Robert Downey Jr’s contract with Marvel is about to expire. Otherwise he’d easily snatch this record.

Steve Blum
Steve holds the record for the Most Prolific Video Game Voice Actor of all time, with major roles in iconic anime, and cartoons, like Cowboy Bebop (Spike), Samurai Champloo (Mugen), GTO (Eikichi), Transformers Prime (Starscream), Legend of Korra (Amon),Wolverine and the X-Men (Wolverine); and, of course, video games: God of War, Call of Duty, Ghost Recon, Mortal Kombat X, The Amazing Spider-Man, Deadpool, and my personal favorite – Marvel Heroes, where he voiced Wolverine, Rocket Raccoon, Sauron, Mr. Sinister, and Taskmaster. I encourage you to check out the full list of his roles on his Wiki page, because I personally had no idea that 90% of them were voiced by the SAME FREAKING GUY! My head is about to explode, but, hold, on, there’s someone even more badass than Steve Blum…

Christopher Lee
Sir Christopher Lee was a terrific, perhaps even the greatest, actor of all time, and he’s got quite a few titles and records throughout his long and fascinating life. In fact he was breaking world records until the very end. Lee was the oldest person to ever record lead vocals on a heavy metal track, the oldest musician to chart on the Billboard at 91 years old; the tallest leading actor, at 6ft 5in; had the most filmed swordfights; the oldest person to voice a video game character; and the most connected living actor – he had a working relationship over his almost 70-year-long career with roughly 1,250,000 of his fellow thespians, which the Guinness World Record committee has certainly noted.
