Time flies so fast, doesn’t it? One minute you’re a kid obsessing over your favourite Disney shows and movies, and the other you’re all grown up with completely different interests and hobbies. Well, you’re not the only one feeling this way! Those teenagers and young actors we used to watch so eagerly have also changed – more than we could ever imagine. 10 years might seem like not a big deal at first, but a lot has happened during the last decade. We’ve seen the first ever Transformers movie, read the last Harry Potter book, barely started watching Grey’s Anatomy, and couldn’t even imagine how mad people would get about iPhones. Well, that’s all in the past and we are here in the sweet and spectacular ‘right now’. We’ve definitely changed in some way, and so have our beloved Disney Channel stars. Here are some of our favourite Disney stars 10 years later.
Josh Hutcherson
Josh was a funny little fella back in the day, wasn’t he? We glad those times are over because now he’s one of the hunkiest and most handsome men alive! It’s been 10 years since we saw him in the amazing Disney movie Bridge to Terabithia, and what a crazy ride it’s been. Looking back now it’s hard to believe that cute little Josh would turn into the handsome men playing Peeta Mellark in the Hunger Games. They grow up so fast!
Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff definitely went from cute to dashing over the last 10 years. It seems that ditching the Lizzy McGuire character from back in the day was the best thing that could ever happen to her. Afterwards she showed up in a variety of TV shows, made a brief appearance in the Gossip Girl, and even wrote a book!
Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens was such a doll in the High School Musical movies, and she still is! Vanessa is busy as a bee acting, singing, and even taking part in stage performances. During the last 10 years we’ve seen her in Spring Breakers, Beastly, and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, as well as Grease: Live and Rent.
The Jonas Brothers
The Jonas Brothers were really cute back then, and you know what? Nothing really changed! Sure, they’ve matured more than just a little bit, but the cuteness is still there. After they disbanded each brother went his separate way. Joe tried doing solo work, Paul got married, and Nick starred alongside Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black in the latest edition of Jumanji.
Selena Gomez
Selena went from sweet-charming to dashing-charming in a blink of an eye! Yet she still rocks those youthful features of hers, not rushing to look too mature. It’s been a long time since we’ve last seen her in Wizards of Waverley Place, and a lot happened afterwards. She got to sing a little bit for Disney and felt it was what she actually wanted to do. Nevertheless, you can still see her in movies like Spring Breakers, Ramona and Beezus, and Hotel Transylvania.
Zac Efron
Where did the teen from High School Musical go? He has definitely spent lots of hours in a gym, we can tell that. Zac has been busy starring in various movies, including his latest flick, Baywatch, where he got to play alongside Dwayne Johnson. All we can say is that they guy’s doing great and we couldn’t be happier for him!
Demi Lovato
We remember Demi Lovato from Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2, but we believe her career as a singer is the time when she really started to shine. It’s not a secret that Demi has been through a lot – she’s battled eating disorders, self-harm, depression, and came out a winner in the end. We’ve also enjoyed watching her as an X-Factor judge.
Brenda Song
Brenda Song is still hanging on to her Disney image – she doesn’t smoke or drink and takes on acting opportunities wherever she can. The career of The Suite Life of Zac & Cody star hasn’t been a huge success, but she’s still landing decent roles and works hard on building her career.
Cole and Dylan Sprouse
Cole and Dylan Sprouse, the sweet twins from The Suite Life of Zac & Cody, are truly hard to recognize now. The two attended New York University and didn’t do any acting during the studies, yet Cole was quick to return to filming after that, while Dylan completely lost interest in an acting career and is now the youngest brewer in the U.S.
Miley Cyrus
We’ve seen Miley Cyrus go through a whole bunch of transformations since she ditched her Hanna Montana image and went on a crazy tour doing whatever she wanted and when she wanted it. Well, it seems those wild days are finally behind her and now Miley is all matured and as calm as we’ve ever seen her. She even signed up to become the judge on the famous Voice TV show!
