It’s no secret that McDonald’s tends to adjust their burger offer from country to country. And while some cultures might find certain combinations appealing, they don’t really gel for the rest of the world. Thanks to the lovely world in which we live right now, we can watch all these weird local McDonald’s burgers on the internet and laugh in disgust.

McNurnburger
You can probably guess this is a German burger, right? Well, you could hardly call it a burger since it’s just three (yup, three) bratwursts with mustard and onions on top. It’s essentially a big German hot dog.
Mashed Potato Burger
Despite this sounding very American, the mashed potato burger is strictly limited to China. And as it pretty much implies, it just adds a layer of mashed potatoes to your otherwise already carb-laden burger.
McSpicy Paneer Burger
The big problem for McDonald’s in Hindu countries is that Hindus don’t eat beef out of respect for cows. This leads to some more exotic attempts of McDonald’s to create the burger effect without resorting to beef, like this paneer burger. And for those that don’t know, paneer is curdled cheese.
McKroket
It sounds Dutch, and it is. A “kroket” is nothing more than the Dutch spelling for what the rest of the world calls a “croquette”, after its French spelling. And the burger is nothing more than a croquette between a bun. Why make it more difficult than it has to be?
Black And White Burger
Because racism is bad, even burger now have all colors available at equal prices and equal levels of deliciousness. This Chinese creation involves a – you’d never guess – black and white burger that you buy together. So inclusive!
McRice Burger
Yes, it barely gets more absurd than this. Because we all know that people in the Phillippines love rice (apparently), they replaced the bun with fried rice. It also includes some locally popular ingredients like sesame seeds, red cabbage and some good ol’ garlic mayonnaise. And it comes in beef and chicken varieties.
