Top 7 Most Charitable Celebrities of 2017

Some celebs are quite stingy, others give away more than enough, donating millions of their hard-earned dollars to different charities. Are they doing this because they feel like they have to, or because they want to? We’ll never know for sure, but what I do know is that even if it’s all for show (which I don’t believe it is), at least they’re making a difference. Those millions will either directly help out those less fortunate somewhere, where water is more precious than gold, or maybe they’ll help make a breakthrough in medicine, for example, and come up with a cure for cancer. As long as there are no grabby politicians involved, celebs donating to charities is a great thing. And here are the top 7 most charitable stars of 2017!

7. Zendaya
That’s the new MJ from Spider-Man Homecoming, and she’s awesome. Not only did she donate to Hurricane Harvey victims, she also asked her fans on social media to donate through the Convoy Of Hope as her birthday present. Well, played, Z!

6. J. J. Watt
Aide from being named the Sportsperson of the Year in 2017 by Sports Illustrated, he managed to raise around $37 million to help the Hurricane Harvey victims, just like Z. All those millions were split between AmeriCares, Feeding America, SBP, and Save the Children.

5. Beyoncé
Of course, Queen B is on this list! I don’t know the actual numbers but we can be sure that it wasn’t 5 bucks and a sticker. She donated to Harvey relief in Houston, helped UNICEF with getting clean water to the people of Burundi.

4. Rihanna
Where there’s Beyonce, there’s Rihanna. She was ranked #4 in the list of most powerful celebrities, according to Forbes, and one of “100 Most Influential People in the World” by Time. Again, no numbers, but they’re definitely in the millions.

3. Ariana Grande
Like Rihanna, Ariana is a member of the “100 most influential people in the world” list, and after the terrifying bombing at one of her concerts, the singer did the “One Love Manchester” concert to gather donations for the victims of the attack. The event raised over $2.5 million.

2. Colin Kaepernick
Colin donated $1,000,000 to numerous charitable organizations, like Meals on Wheels and 100 Suits.

1. Chance the Rapper
And finally THE most charitable person on the list – Chance the Rapper! Who would have thought? After all it’s not every day, you see a famous rapper raising over $3 million for schools in Chicago. Good job, Chance, and everyone else. Keep those donations going and we’ll colonize Mars in no time!
