British Actors And Actresses That Are Taking Over Hollywood

As we all know, the United Kingdom has recently made the best U-turn in geopolitical history and they’ve started slowly but surely infiltrating American culture. The best way to do that, of course, is by showing up on their television a lot. Let’s take a look at some Brits that are taking over Hollywood by force.

Tom Hiddleston
After playing Loki in the MCU, this guy was officially the most likeable bad guy in movie history. Let’s hope there’s still a long future in the Marvel universe for our favorite British God of Mischief.

Emily Blunt
Emily starred in the horror hit movie A Quiet Place, which is also getting a sequel in a few years. She’ll also be playing Mary Poppins when that remake/sequel hits, so be sure to watch out for that.

Felicity Jones
After starring in a Spider-Man movie (albeit not a good one), Inferno and getting a female lead role in a Star Wars movie, it’s hard to imagine Felicity won’t get any big roles in the future.

Henry Cavill
Mostly known as our modern Man of Steel, Henry has recently been confirmed to play Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix Witcher series. With all the DC movies coming up that pretty much need Superman in them, he’ll be on the silver screen plenty in the coming years.

Emilia Clarke
Daenerys Stormborn, First of her Name, Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains, Destroyer of the Terminator Franchise and Solo’s Girlfriend Before Leia. That’s quite a title for such a small girl! Seriously, she’s only 5ft 2 (157.5 cm).

Tom Hardy
Peaky Blinders, Mad Max, The Dark Knight Rises, the upcoming Venom movie… There’s almost no decent franchise imaginable where this guy wouldn’t have a place. He has amazing stage presence and he’ll have a bright future ahead of him.

Benedryl Cumbersnatch
Bumblebee Pumpkinpatch made a name for himself by playing the well-known investigator Sherlock Holmes. After this, he really got into the big leagues by playing Dr. Stephen Strange in the – you guessed it – MCU. As it is the case for most MCU actors, expect to see more of Wimbledon Tennismatch in the next years.

Daisy Ridley
If you’re playing Rey from Star Wars, your career is pretty much made, right? Well, wrong, since typically Star Wars actors don’t have huge careers after Star Wars, unless they had one before it. Examples: Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Hayden Christensen, Ian McDiarmid, Alec Guinness. Let’s hope Daisy can break the mold!

James McAvoy
This actor gained his biggest audience after making us forget no one should play Charles Xavier except for Patrick Stewart, and knocked it out the park in the M. Night Shyamalan’s movie Split. He’ll be doing at least one more round as Charles Xavier and “The Beast” so you can watch him do his thing no matter which role you prefer.

Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie started her career in the big spotlights by playing MIssandei in Game of Thrones, and she’s gotten movie roles in the Fast and the Furious and Maze Runner series.
