For example, have you heard about a town where the last corpse was seen around 50s? And how about the shots of teenage Groot? There’s also the new Avengers movie that’s been driving fans crazy all over the world and some cool newly found Easter eggs like the one fans have recently noticed in Guardians of the Galaxy. There’s so much to see and so little time! Here we’ve gathered 10 geek news that will make your inner nerd insanely happy.

The Harry Potter house
One might think that the Harry Potter craze is long gone, but rest assured, there’s still so much we need to learn about the magic world! We’ve all gotten used to things like Harry Potter theme parks, magical wands, and spectacular HP prequels, but how about living in a Harry Potter house? Jeff Arundel, a restaurant owner, purchased a house in Minnesota back in 2002, and by 2009 it looked like it came from the pages of a Harry Potter novel. For some reason he got tired of living in a picturesque castle-like home and decided to sell it for $2,995,000, which is not that much if you come to think of it. Even the locals are making their bids! So if you have a few spare million dollars, it can be the purchase of a lifetime.

Deadpool 2
You’ve probably already watched the new international trailer of Deadpool 2, but we can’t go on without mentioning it as well as the poster featuring Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Josh Brolin (Cable), and Zazie Beetz (Domino). Although this trailer is basically a recap of previous events, you can watch it on YouTube already. There’s also a hilarious Flashdance-inspired poster that hints to how amazing the next movie is going to be.

A town where nobody dies
Have you ever heard of a town called Longyearbyen? Just as the name suggests, people in this Norwegian town live long and prosperous lives, but dying is an entirely different matter. When the authorities discovered that bodies (and dangerous viruses like Spanish flu) simply don’t decompose in this northernmost town, they decided to ‘ban dying’ for good. And just like that there hasn’t been a corpse in Longyearbyen since 1950 when graveyards stopped accepting bodies and it was decided that terminally ill patients would be sent to different cities all over Norway. The Night’s Watch guys from Game of Thrones would have been ecstatic about this!

Guardians of the Galaxy Easter egg
James Gunn made it very clear that no one has uncovered Tру Easter egg in Guardians of the Galaxy, but many have come pretty close and even found some parts of it. While we still don’t have any idea as to what it might be, there’s one new Easter egg that’s awesome enough to make us forget about everything else. Stan Lee’s cameo was truly special!

The world’s first Pokémon café
Well, it might not be the first ever Pokémon café, but it’s definitely the world’s first permanent café where you can dine alongside Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and a variety of other monsters. Located in Tokyo, this café features all kinds of Pokémon drinks as well as Mimikyu Crepe where you can find delicious pancakes and crepes filled with berries, fruits, and whipped cream. It’s best to make reservations in advance as this café is beyond popular.

Teenage Groot
Fans have been dying to see the older version of Groot after Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 hit the screens. Well, now you can! In a new TV spot for Avengers: Infinity War, we get to see teenage Groot showing some major attitude to Star-Lord. It’s both hilarious and adorable, and we can only imagine just how awesome the whole movie would be.

Rey could’ve killed Kylo Ren
We’ve all watched Star Wars: The Last Jedi, so we know that Rey and Kylo Ren almost became friends while fighting Snoke, but it all ended up quickly when they both realized their philosophies were entirely different. What most fans don’t know is the fact that Rey actually had an opportunity to finish off Kyle Ren, at least in the novels. Just like Luke, Rey saw and unconscious Kylo Ren lying on the floor and was tempted by the Dark Side to kill him once and for good.

Buy the Internet for $52
The IT Crowd series is packed with amazing jokes, but one stands out in particular. Do you remember when Moss and Roy decided to mock their boss and came up with an idea about Internet being a black box? Which can be found only on top of Big Ben and is guarded by special people. Well, now you can actually buy the whole Internet for just $52! It looks like a small black box with lights and will definitely become an awesome present for your geeky best friend.

Luke Skywalker and milk
We all remember the slightly disturbing milking episode in the last Star Wars movie. If you thought it was a bit cringe-worthy, you weren’t the only one! Mark Hamill himself wasn’t too happy about the episode, but for different reasons. It turns out that one crucial scene depicting Luke Skywalker mourning the death of Han Solo was cut during post-production of the movie. The reason was they didn’t have enough screen time, which is kind of sad because they had enough time to show how he milks the alien creature, but not Luke Skywalker exhibiting some strong emotions.
