These days everyone and their dogs (literal dogs) have Instagram accounts with hundreds upon hundreds of selfies, food pics, travel snaps and what not. We don’t make pictures count, like people used to do. I can take a thousand pictures with my phone and I guarantee you none of those would ever come close to the shots you’ll see below.
These old black and white pictures always fill me with awe, and make me want to travel back in time to see the scene, talk to the photographer, find out why they chose this particular moment.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, each of these photos are probably worth a “War and Peace”.
A tiny disclaimer: some of these photos may trigger bad memories or associations, so, sorry in advance. All of these, however were a part of world history and it would be stupid to ignore our past mistakes. Here we go!
